Introducing the range of solar car parks

Solar car park structures provide a cost effective way of incorporating solar PV into an area, while maintaining usable land and also providing protection for vehicles seeking covered parking.

Overview

The average Australian household has two cars, and these are often parked on the driveway, unprotected from the elements. Furthermore, the average Australian household’s electricity usage is increasing year-on-year – especialy as more cars are electric. Now, imagine you can solve both these issues simultaneously.

You can, with a solar carport.

A solar carport is like a normal carport structure, but with solar panels built in to the roof. This gives you the dual benefit of something to protect your car from the sun and the rain, all the while generating electricity. If you have an electric vehicle, this could be used to “fuel” it; if not, it could be used by your house, or even be sold back to the grid. That’s right; it could actually pay for itself!

Solar carports are fairly new, but are becoming more popular as solar panels are becoming more efficient and generate more power. There are several options, from the solar racking specialists Clenergy, to carport-only manufacturers such as PowerPunk (formerly PowerPark) and SolPark.

Solutions

Clenergy

  • Car park and ezShade available
  • Clenergy also manufacture roof racking

Clenergy PV-ezRack ezShade is an economical ground mounted system for landscape module installation that provides shelter for parking.

It is designed for high wind speed and snow loads. The combination of Clenergy’s patented aluminium base rail, Z-module technology and rail splicing saves you the trouble of on-site cutting for fast installation.

The anodised aluminium components combined with this specific structural design result in an optimal balance between aesthetics and cost effectiveness.

This solution is more suitable for carports and small parking areas rather than large car parking projects. For larger spaces that require under cover parking we would use PowerPunk or SCP solutions.

PowerPunk

  • Aussie company
  • Cyberpunk style

PowerPark is designed and manufactured specifically to each site. PowerPark car shades also integrate well with EV charging stations.

PowerPark systems are built to the strictest manufacturing standards. Their robotically automated manufacturing process brings precision and consistency to all welded components. Productivity is vastly increased whilst allowing their dedicated team of humans to work in a safer and happier environment.

Less wasted materials mean they meet the strictest standards of material efficiency. Boosted productivity allows them to provide more systems to clients across Australia.

SCP

  • Custom built for your project
  • Schletter racking

SCP’s proprietary Heliopark solar car parking systems are designed and manufactured in Australia. Featuring two design styles (Pro) and (Eco), we have a solution to cover all wind regions including C + D, offering the most cost effective and stylish option for your car park.

Heliopark is a product collaboration between Schletter and SCP and the integration of the Schletter racking system means easy installation of the solar panels into the structure resulting in a cost efficient install. Available in 5-6m and 10-12m spans.

HelioPark structures possess a modern and pleasing aesthetic to transform your car park into a stylish solar powerhouse.

We always tailor to your needs and have access to any inverter on the market for you.

Our philosophy has always been to put customers first and we have been helping Australians save money with good quality solar since 2011. We believe the correct way to do this is to ensure we do not have relationships with specific manufacturers, that limit what can offer you.

We tailor every single system individually and make sure customers are being offer the correct type of technology, from the right manufacturer based on what their home or business needs.

We love Fronius inverters and they are a good fit for most installations. However, if your project requires a different type of technology, or brand, rest assured we will have access to it and make sure you get what you need for the right cost!

Solar Panels

Please click on the logos on the left to see more information about the solar panel brands we typically use.

Choosing a solar panel is usually more difficult due to being a broader choice when compared to inverters. Because there are more options available, it is more difficult to do your research.

The brands to the left are products we use more often than anything else. However, we can access any panel, so get in touch if you want some advice on other brands.

Inverters

All of these inverters have their place in the market for different reasons, and we supply a high volume of all of them.

Depending on what your needs are, and what your budget for your solar project is, you may find one of these brands more suitable.

There are many other inverter brands we have not listed here, so if you want some advice on another product, please get in touch and our engineering team can help.

Solar storage is becoming more and more popular every year, and slowly becoming the standard when installing a solar array for your home or business.

Batteries play an integral part in helping reduce kWh charges, level peak demand and provide electricity when there is no access to grid power.

As with all the services we offer, the manufacturers on the right are not the only choices you have for batteries. If you would like some feedback on other brands, please get in touch.
