When you think of a solar system you think of solar panels. Solar panels capture the photons of sunlight and convert them into usable DC electricty. The world of solar panels has a host of technologies, including monocrystalline, polycrystalline, PERC, LeTID, bifacial… The list goes on and on!

There are dozens of solar panel manufacturers; we only use the ones with high bankability and reliability, companies that have been around for many years and will be around for years to come.

The solar inverter is what makes the electricity generated by your solar panels usable. Solar panels create DC power, whereas your house needs 230V 50Hz AC power. The inverter changes from DC to AC.

Like panels, there are many cheap Chinese brands. Again, we focus on quality – most of our products are European, and our more affordable Chinese inverter comes from a company with many years of experience and excellent levels of customer support.

If you get a hybrid inverter, or a separate battery charger, you can add a solar battery. This means you can store any solar energy you generate but don’t use, to use later in the day – for example, at night.

The racking, or mounting, is what keeps your solar panels where they’re meant to be. There are options for mounting solar panels on your roof or on the ground on purpose-built structures. It’s important to get high-quality components, to avoid corrossion, rust, and for the ability to withstand storms without deforming or breaking.
