Introducing the SMA range of inverters
The original German-made inverter that has always been present in the Australian solar market.
Overview
SMA were founded in Hesse, Germany, in 1981. They have been ever-present in the solar industry and we have been installing them since 2011. Where most of the main competitors’ manufacturer a range of electrical goods, SMA specialise in solar inverters only. This narrow field of expertise and attention contributes towards their sterling reputation globally as one of the best inverter manufacturers.
They are a large company, with offices in all the major cities in the World (including Sydney) and they are able to offer local warranty and service support where needed.
They definitely tick all the boxes for us here at GI Energy and we are very happy to have them available to us as part of our major product offering.
Their wide range of products mean they have options readily available for very small home solar systems, as well as really large commercial solar installations. For the purpose of full disclosure; they are no longer made in Germany. However, they definitely still offer the type of reliable product we have come to expect from a product carrying the German brand.

We love Fronius inverters and they are a good fit for most installations. However, if your project requires a different type of technology, or brand, rest assured we will have access to it and make sure you get what you need for the right cost!

Batteries play an integral part in helping reduce kWh charges, level peak demand and provide electricity when there is no access to grid power.
